I'm a sophomore aerospace engineering student at NC State with a strong bias toward building. I learn by putting hardware on a bench, instrumenting it, and seeing what the data actually says.
Most of my energy right now goes into propulsion — designing and analyzing a bipropellant rocket engine test stand, from structural plates and floating thrust mounts to the full sensor and DAQ signal chain. I spend a lot of time in SolidWorks and a lot of time thinking about how to measure things accurately.
Outside the propulsion work I fly and build fixed-wing RC aircraft, run a Bambu Lab P2S for prototyping, and take on shop projects like a custom L-shaped desk built from the cabinets up. I also write software — currently a roguelike language-learning game called Lexadex.
I care about doing things correctly and from first principles: provided section properties over guessed ones, honest assessments over reassurance, and concise answers over filler.
